Technicoll 9556 cyanoacrylate glue is thin and liquid, mostly suited for quick and age-resistant EPDM-bindings. This glue, based of cyanoacrylate, is designed to combine little parts of plastic, rubber, metal, leather, wood, ceramic, porcelain, paper and textile with each other. After pre-treating materials with the Technicoll 9605-1 Primer, also PE, PP, POM and TPE can be connected. The glue has a low viscosity.
It is necessary that the surfaces are clean, especially free from oils, fat and release compounds. The low viscosity, the cyanoacrylate glue can be dripped on the surfaces. The hardening time varies strongly with the materials. The initial binding is reached within the upcoming time frame:
– Metal (steel) + metal (steel): circa 10 to 20 seconds.
– Elastomer (EPDM) + elastomer (EPDM): circa 1 to 3 seconds.
– ABS + ABS: circa 2 to 6 seconds.
