Technicoll 8002 is a contact adhesive suited for applications with PVC on textile, cardboard, paper and wood. Example of applications are the use of inflatable boats, liners for pools, pond liners, sailcloths and possible reparations to those applications. The glue is liquid and colorless.
The surfaces that are going to be glued, have to be dry and clean, especially from oils, fat and release agents. Apply a thin layer of the PVC contact adhesive evenly transparent to one or both sides. With porous surfaces, a second layer could be needed. Combine the parts directly after applying the adhesive, so that both sides are covered in wet glue. The wet bonding time for applying to one side is circa 10 to 30 seconds and for applying to both sides it has a maximum of 1 minute. Mount the surfaces under pressure and with enough strength before the further processing kicks in (about 5 to 10 minutes). Wait a few days before criticizing the ultimate strength of the binding.
