Technicoll 9480 Expoxyglue has a thick liquid consistency and it suited for: connecting metal on concrete, repairing ceramic or porcelain objects and even for model building. This product is ideal for applications with metal, wooden, rubber, concrete, artificial stone, thermosettings (FRP, SMC), stone, natural stone, ceramic and glass. The Technicoll 9480 Epoxyglue is packed in a 24 ml botle with a double exit and is suited for smaller glue issues, where only a small amount of glue is necessary.
Joint surfaces have to be dry and clean, but mostly free of oil, grease or solvents. In many cases, sanding the surface beforehand will strengthen the connection. This is mostly recommended for gluing rubbers and metals. The correct dosage is already mentioned on the packaging. Cut both ends of the tip and spray the correct amount of both components out of the cartridge and mix them precisely with a small spatula. Seal the opened cartridges immediately with the lid, a small marking on the lid indicates the correct position of the lid on the cartridge. Apply the Epoxyglue to the surfaces and combine them within the processing time together. The complete application is achieved when a small amount of glue leaks out of the joint. Glue remains are to be directly removed, when you want to remove the glue when it is hardened, it is only possible to remove it mechanical. During the hardening process, the materials are to be fixated on their place. Heat can speed up the hardening process and ensures a higher strength. Wait a few days before you determine the glued connection.
