Technicoll 9554 cyanoacrylate glue is designed to combine little parts of plastic, rubber, metal, ceramic and porcelain with each other. After pre-treating materials with the Technicoll 9605-1 Primer, also PE, PP, POM and TPE can be connected. The glue has a high viscosity and is suited for binding metals and porous materials. The Technicoll 9554 is somewhat gap bridging (max. 0,2 mm). Sometimes it is possible to correct the substrates after applying the glue. On request, it it also possible to receive the cyanoacrylate glue in a 50 ml packaging.
It is necessary that the surfaces are clean, especially free from oils, fat and release compounds. The hardening time varies strongly with the materials. The initial binding is reached within the upcoming time frame:
– Metal (steel) + metal (steel): circa 20 to 60 seconds.
– Elastomer (EPDM) + elastomer (EPDM): circa 2 to 6 seconds.
– ABS + ABS: circa 5 to 10 seconds.
