The Technicoll 9403 methyl methacrylate glue, also known as MMA glue, is the ideal solution for the electric and electro-technical industry, model making, jewelry industry and the metal construction. The consistency of the Technicoll 9403 MMA glue is syrupy and translucent. Materials that can be connected to each other are for example metal, glass, thermoplastic plastic and duroplast. This MMA glue is characterized by a short processing time, high temperature resistance, very good flexibility and good power transmission. The glued materials will be completely stuck within 6 hours. The packaging contains 50 ml duo cartridges.
There are divers ways to apply the Technicoll 6403 MMA glue. To start with, you can edit the product with a mixing head (micro static mixer). Apply the mixing beam, apply the glue with a micro static mixer in a thin line, drop or film on the bonding surface and apply objects within the processing time together. While using a micro static mixer, you can almost achieve a transparent bonding.
- If you want to use a glue line on another glue line, you can place both components on top of each other (not next to each other) on one side of the surface and connect it directly.
If it can not be guaranteed that the glue will be applied within 3 minutes and that the objects will be combined within this time frame, you can treat the MMA glue separately (no-mix-proces). To do this, you apply a component on each side of the bonding surface. The hardening proces will take place after the combining, so when both components are pressed against each other.
The bonding surfaces have to be dry and clean, especially free of oil, grease or solvents. In many cases, sanding the surface beforehand increases the strength of the glued connection. Press the cartridge, with the flap upwards in a vertical position, for approximately 3 minutes. By doing this, the trapped air can rise out of the pattern. Place the pattern in the holder of a suited glue gun, lock the gun and remove the cap. Remove a little amount of glue, to make sure that both components can flow freely. Place the mixer tip and lock it down. Apply the glue in a thin line, drop or film on the bonding surface. The connection components will be mounted en clamped during the processing time of 3 minutes.
