An example is placing a zipper on a neoprene diving suit. The adhesive is <strong>instant<\/strong> and can obtain a <strong>long term adhesion<\/strong>. The glue is also water and heat resistance. This adhesive is ideal for <strong>absorbing surfaces.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Joint surfaces have to be <strong>dry<\/strong> and <strong>clean<\/strong>, but mostly free of oil, grease or solvents. In many cases, sanding the surface beforehand will strengthen the connection. This adhesive is mostly recommended for gluing rubbers and metals. <strong>Stir<\/strong> the glue before using. Apply a <strong>thin and even layer<\/strong> of Technicoll 8055 with a brush or a glue gun on both sides of the joint surfaces. After applying the glue, the solvent has to <strong>evaporate<\/strong> fully. The usual waiting time is a <strong>few minutes<\/strong>, depending on the applied amount of glue and the climate. The right moment to glue the components, is when the contact adhesive shows <strong>no more threads<\/strong> by touching a finger, but still feels <strong>sticky<\/strong>. Combine the substrates precisely together and mount quickly under high pressure.
